  • Aged 8, found inspiration through films of Fred Astaire. Began tap dancing at local after school dance program
  • Trained exclusively with Kee Juan Han at the Arizona Ballet School and Arizona School for the Arts (1997-1999)
  • Attended American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive (1999 & 2000)
  • Attended the Paris Opera Ballet School (1999-2000)
  • Joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company (2000)
  • Joined the corps de ballet of American Ballet Theatre (2001)
  • Promoted to Soloist at American Ballet Theatre (2004)
  • Promoted to Principal at American Ballet Theatre (2005)
  • Joined Bolshoi Ballet as Premiere (2011)
  • Awarded the Princess Grace Award (2002)
  • Awarded the Benois de la Dance Award (2010)
  • Created The Innovation Initiative at American Ballet Theatre. A forum for choreographic exploration (2010 and 2011)
  • Created The David Hallberg Scholarship. An annual mentorship for an aspiring male student of dance (2010)
